The Vilkėnas Manor palace was built by Count Aleksandras Plater, with the creation of its picturesque park initiated by his wife. Construction took place between 1880 and 1897, and the palace is distinguished by its Neo-Renaissance style: a two-story symmetrical building with a tower, a portico supported by four columns, and a graceful pediment adorned with the Plater family coat of arms. The manor park, designed on hilly terrain, belongs to the mixed composition style of parks. In 1993, the palace and park were returned to Laimė Felicija Plater, a descendant of the Plater family, and the palace’s exterior was restored in 2007. Today, Vilkėnas Manor is one of the most beautiful tourist attractions in the Švėkšna region.
