The Šilutė Railway Bridge, built in 1875, is a historic stone bridge over the Šyša River, connecting the Šilutė railway station with the southern part of the city. This five-arch bridge is 82.5 meters long and 8.25 meters wide. Its architecture reflects the industrial style of the 19th century, and it is included in the Register of Immovable Cultural Heritage of Lithuania. A reconstruction was carried out in 2010–2011, preserving its authentic appearance while strengthening the arch structures with modern engineering solutions and installing new engineering systems. After the reconstruction, the bridge can safely bear heavy loads, allowing trains to travel at speeds of up to 160 km/h.
