If you're searching for a unique spot to witness an impressive view and relax, visit the exceptional Zarasai Observation Wheel, which offers a panoramic view of Lake Zarasas. This distinctive architectural structure was opened in the fall of 2011. It stands 17 meters high, with a ramp diameter of 34 meters. From the 100-meter-long walkway, visitors can enjoy a breathtaking panorama of Lake Zarasas. Additionally, there's a cultural space nearby, featuring a stone sculpture park. Descending the stairs, you can walk along the 1.4 km pedestrian and cycling path that circles the shore of Lake Zarasas and explore the sculptures along the way. For those who wish to take a break, benches are placed along the shore, offering picturesque landscape views. You can sit and admire the various bird species living in the lake, observing the vibrant life along the shores of Lake Zarasas. During the warm season, visitors are invited to enjoy the splashes of the fountain and engage in active leisure activities. There is a boat rental point nearby, and for those traveling on
land, scooters and bicycles are available for hire. For children, there is a playground with various attractions. The Zarasai Observation Wheel structure, like all such constructions, moves slightly, which might cause a bit of vertigo for first-time visitors. However, convenient handrails ensure balance and safety, and they double as the primary lighting for the wheel in the evening. The project authors highlight that the greatest advantage of the Zarasai Observation Wheel is not its height but its appealing surroundings and exceptional views. The Zarasai Observation Wheel has won several international and national awards for its uniqueness. Designed by architect Šarūnas Kiaunė, the elegant Zarasai Observation Wheel is now considered a new landmark of the city. Visiting this impressive attraction is free of charge, and there are no restricted visiting hours. The observation wheel is easy to find, located just as you enter the town of Zarasai. Since its opening, the Zarasai Observation Wheel has attracted not only Lithuanians but also tourists from abroad.
