Lake Salotas is a small yet exceptionally beautiful lake located in western Lithuania, in the Telšiai district, approximately 3.5 km from Žarėnai. The lake is 1.8 km long and up to 0.7 km wide, with an elevation of 159.2 meters above sea level. The lake's basin was formed during the glacial period, and its shores are low and marshy, especially in the southern part where the Kliokų Marsh is located. The lake also features a small island, 0.1 hectares in size, adding a special charm to the landscape.

Park and is surrounded by the Ankantai Forest. A stream flows into the lake from Kliokio Lake, and a stream exits from the northern side, connecting Salotas with Didovas Lake, which is part of the Minija River basin. The lake's shores are often frequented by visitors, especially on the northern shore where there is a designated recreation area suitable for both locals and tourists. Salotas is also a popular fishing spot, with a notable abundance of roach, making it an excellent location to enjoy peace and the pleasures of nature.
