Lake Salotas is a small yet exceptionally beautiful lake located in western Lithuania, in the Telšiai district, approximately 3.5 km from Žarėnai. The lake is 1.8 km long and up to 0.7 km wide, with an elevation of 159.2 meters above sea level. The lake's basin was formed during the glacial period, and its shores are low and marshy, especially in the southern part where the Kliokų Marsh is located. The lake also features a small island, 0.1 hectares in size, adding a special charm to the landscape.
