During the first "Malonny" symposium, Ray Bartkus left a piece of American pop culture in Marijampolė by creating a work featuring musical aliens inspired by science fiction films. Unfortunately, the aliens that appeared on J. Dailidės Street in 2014 did not stay long. For the tenth "Malonny" symposium, Bartkus decided to renew his piece, "Extraterrestrial Symphony," in a new location, enriching it by adding a soloist to the alien orchestra. The artist admits that he was inspired by opera soloist Violeta Urmanavičiūtė-Urmana, originally from Marijampolė, who once attended the opening of his exhibition in Geneva.
